Challenge
The platform needed to normalize multi-source data — device sensors, video, positioning, business systems — into independently-updating twin entities, keep the scheduling layer running even with no client page open, and render at million-triangle scene scale without dropping frame rate.
Approach
Built the IoT data hub (RocketMQ-driven ingestion) feeding an independent twin-scheduling layer (Redisson and Lua for distributed coordination, Seata for cross-service transactions), paired with a rendering pipeline combining CesiumJS (web geospatial 3D) and Unreal Engine (high-fidelity rendering) with GeoServer for spatial data service, packaged for desktop delivery via Electron.
Architecture
Sensors, video, positioning and business sources feed the IoT data hub (RocketMQ) → an independent twin-scheduling layer (Redisson + Seata, decoupled from the UI) → a CesiumJS/Unreal Engine/GeoServer rendering layer, surfaced through a React 18 + Ant Design client packaged with Electron.
Outcome
The delivered scope — IoT data hub and digital twin module — is in production as part of SDC ME's smart-factory, port, energy and park offering. The client approved public disclosure of this contracted work.
